Born July 21 1991,

Treasure Denise Demmings (Treasure G) could sing before she could walk. Originally from the southside of Minneapolis, MN, she was exposed to music at a very young age. Her mother Donnia Riley was a lead vocalist at her local church while her father, James Demmings, was a well-known D.J. in the Minneapolis party scene since the late 70’s. The inspiration she got from her parents was polar opposites. She wasn’t allowed to listen to secular music in her mother’s house hold, but in her father’s home she and her siblings learned all about George Clinton and The Funkadelic and the catchy, soulful sounds of Motown. “I remember getting in trouble as a child for listening to or singing anything but gospel around my mom she was really strict, so I had to learn how to separate my different worlds. She was a great Mom though I could never take that from her". Being saturated with such an array of musical influence so early in life, she realized her passion quickly. Treasure started performing at church when she was 3 and joined the church choir by the time she was 9 when most children weren’t allowed to join until they were 12. She did music all throughout high school doing her first colab with "the Wenso Ashby project",and it didn’t matter what she was singing, in grade school her soulful voice always stood out. You would always catch Treasure singing, dancing, or writing somewhere. Her eclectic style ranged from country, hip hop, alternative, soul, pop and more. In a time where true artists are few, Treasure is a breath of fresh air. Her passion, drive and struggles can be empathized through her voice. “I want to make people happy. I want to reach everyone, I want to leave a legacy like all of the icons I looked up to before me, but I also want to restore peoples hope like music did for me. I want them to know that I have gone through the same/similar stuff just like they have which is why i talk about my struggles alot in my music.” Treasure has been actively performing in the Twin Cities everywhere from charity events, fund raisers,The Penumbra Theatre,The Capri Theatre, churches, schools, local parks, karoake bars (Champions, 200, 4th street,  Moose on Monroe, Market BBQ), and skating rinks to popular clubs such as The Venue MPLS (Opening for grammy nominated recording artist Keyshia Cole with her sister group "Treasure & Juic'e & T-n-T", Aqua, The Imperial Room, Whiskey Park, Tee's Place, Terminal bar, Arnellia’s in St. Paul, and the Minneapolis Urban Leagues annual event "family day opening for artists such as Jamecia Bennett, R.L (from the group "Next"), Troop, and Mint Condition. Treasure has also performed at the national anthem project in Washington D.C. She has auditioned on such popular talent shows like American Idol in Chicago (July 2012) and The Voice in St. Paul (July 2012) and Chicago (Dec. 2014). Her music can be heard all over the world wide web. You can find her music on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube under Treasurenochest Demmings because she refuses to be kept inside of societies box...
